Joni, I am 57 years old and I remember a friend gave me a book called "Joni" in high school. I was a believer, but not living fully for the Lord. I was so moved by your story and wondered how you never became angry or bitter throughout your suffering. In 2004 I had a sinus infection and after a few rounds of antibiotics, my doctor put me on a drug that messed up my nervous system. It began by giving me electric shock sensations every time I would start to fall asleep. I soon developed daily headaches from lack of sleep and over the years many diagnoses have piled on. I am blessed in that I got serious about my walk with the Lord before all of these symptoms came. I was standing on solid ground. The last 4 years have been particularly difficult. My husband was a police officer and had to retire early to take care of me. I had a broken hip at the time but had to wait 8 months for surgery because I was not strong enough to be put under anesthesia. Around that time, my "personality" changed. I was not as sweet or quick to read the word. I let my oil get way too low. I didn't even recognize it until I felt like my heart was a stone. I started praying for the Lord to take from me this heart of stone and give me a heart of flesh. He is doing just that, but it has been a constant struggle. Thank you for your honesty throughout your struggles!!! I beat myself up and forget that saints like you struggle with things like coming into his presence in the right manner. You humble me and remind me that we are all messing up sometimes. I mess up a lot. I am so thankful that you have come into my life, through books and videos,at times when I really needed a better perspective. Thank you so much!!

Joni, Would you avoid poking yourself in the eye over a simple Ho-Hum attitude that creeps up and says, "Boo!" You went before a throne, you acknowledged God and yourself having a relationship. That is what I do on the way to the restroom 5 or 6 times before I want to be up for the day. Chide over eating things that cause you to choke. And leave the relationship between you and the Lord, extremely personal in person pray 🙏 moments. This morning I had a serious arrival of one liner jokes and puns. I didn't stay awake to write them all. This one is for you: YOU HAVE REACHED .... OH NO! NOT AGAIN! PLEASE, LEAVE A MASSAGE 💆‍♀️ 💆‍♂️.

I lived more than 40years in pain. In 2024 I feel pain hartly anymore . I am amazed every day about the change. 😊
